Looking East
Shots from 2012 onwards, taken in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Using vintage cameras and expired film, I documented the layered textures of urban life and the quiet moments of natural beauty hidden within cityscapes. For nearly a decade, undeveloped rolls of film sat tucked away in a drawer - silent archives of past journeys. In 2022, I began the slow, intentional process of developing this backlog. The images that emerged had aged in unexpected and visually evocative ways. Their imperfections evoke nostalgia, transforming each photograph into a softened memory shaped by time.
